FAQ

Everything you need to know — booking, pricing, day-of details, all in one place.

Booking & Reservations

How far in advance should I book catering?

We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance for most events. For weddings or large events (100+ guests), 6–8 weeks is ideal. We can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines — reach out and we'll do our best to make it work.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. We require a 50% deposit to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event. We accept cash, check, or card payments.

What's your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 14 days before your event, we'll refund your deposit minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable, but we'll work with you to reschedule if possible.

Can I reschedule my event?

Yes, as long as you give us at least 14 days notice. We'll do our best to accommodate your new date based on availability.

Pricing & Minimums

What is your minimum order size?

Our typical minimum for catering is 25 guests. For smaller groups, we recommend a plate pre-order or catching us at a pop-up instead.

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing is based on guest count, menu selections, service level (drop-off vs. full service), and location. We provide a detailed quote before you commit to anything.

Do you offer discounts for large events?

Our per-person pricing naturally decreases with larger guest counts. Events over 150 guests typically receive volume pricing. We'll include the best rate in your custom quote.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Your quote includes everything we discussed: food, service, setup, and standard delivery within our service area. Any additional costs (like travel fees for distant locations or extra staff) are clearly outlined in your quote.

Service & Logistics

How far do you travel?

We serve all of Onslow County, NC. Events beyond the county may be possible with a travel fee. Ask us about your specific location.

Do you deliver or do I need to pick up?

Most catering orders include delivery and setup. We offer drop-off service, buffet setup, or full-service with staff depending on your needs and budget.

What if my guest count changes?

Life happens — we get it. You can adjust your guest count up to 7 days before your event. We'll revise your invoice to reflect the change.

Do you provide serving staff?

Yes, for an additional fee. Staffed service includes servers to manage the buffet, replenish food, and keep the serving area clean. Especially helpful for weddings and corporate events.

What happens if you arrive late?

We build in buffer time to ensure on-time arrival. In the rare case of an unavoidable delay, we'll communicate immediately and do everything possible to minimize impact on your event.

Menu & Dietary Options

Can I customize the menu?

Absolutely. Our packages are starting points — meats, sides, and portions can flex to fit your preferences and dietary needs.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. We can provide vegetarian sides, gluten-aware options, and accommodate other dietary needs with advance notice. Just let us know what you need when you request your quote.

Can I sample the food before my event?

Come try the food for yourself — catch us at a pop-up or grab a pre-order plate before booking your event.

Day-of Details

What time will you arrive?

We typically arrive 1–2 hours before your scheduled meal time to set up. You'll receive a confirmed arrival window a few days before your event.

Do you need access to a kitchen?

Not usually. Food arrives hot and ready to serve. If we need access to electricity for warmers or setup space, we'll discuss that during planning.

What do I need to provide?

Tables and space are on you. Serving gear is on us — every buffet setup comes with chafing dishes and serving utensils at no extra charge. Plates, cups, utensils and napkins for your guests are optional: ask for them on your quote request and we'll bring them and fold the cost into your quote. We'll confirm all of it when booking.

Do you handle cleanup?

We handle all food service cleanup (removing chafing dishes, packing up leftover food, etc.). Full event cleanup with trash removal is available as an add-on.

Plate Pre-Orders & Pop-Ups

How do plate pre-orders work?

Pre-orders open whenever we post a menu and close at the cutoff shown on that menu. Pickup date and window are listed with each drop. Join the newsletter to get menu drops first.

Can I order plates last minute?

Pre-orders must be placed before the cutoff shown on the menu. For same-day food, check the Find the Trailer page for any scheduled events.

How do I know about pop-up events?

Subscribe to the newsletter or follow on Facebook + Instagram. Pop-ups go up 1–2 weeks in advance with location, time, and menu details.
